For a lifter to hold an NI record or to medal at the NI championships they must be registered on sport 80 with their region set as Northern Ireland. As well as this they must either, be born in NI, have a parent or grandparent born in NI or have a minimum of 3 years continuous residency in NI on the date of the relevant competition. In any instance where eligibility is disputed by NIWL the lifter must provide proof of eligibility to the secretary for record and or medal to stand. We will endeavour to keep track of all future records but if we miss any please contact us with the details and we will update them.
