ATTIRE
For your initial competition, there’s no need for a specialized attire. However, at Development Age Group and Tier 3 club competitions, participants are allowed to compete in shorts and a T-shirt.
Upon advancing to Tier 2 (Home Nations) and Tier 1 (British) competitions, lifters are required to wear a weightlifting costume, commonly known as a leotard, that meets the following standards:
- It must be a one-piece garment.
- It must be collarless.
- The garment may be any colour.
- It should not extend past the knees.
- It should not cover the elbows.
